Retzlaff Vineyards hosts a seminar on Sustainable and Organic Winemaking
On Monday, October 17. Retzlaff Vineyards hosted a 1-hour seminar about Sustainable and Organic winery practices and programs to help growers. Presented by Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan, the Livermore Wine Growers Association, and Las Positas College’s Viticulture and Wine Technology department. The event included panel discussions with industry experts, representatives from the Wine Institute and CCOF who answered questions about certification, state representatives with information about government grants and programs to help growers. Also, representatives from State and local water agencies were on-hand to discuss plans to manage water in California now and in the future.
