Retzlaff Vineyards hosts successful Asante Africa Fundraiser

On Saturday, Sept 25 the Asante Africa Foundation (AAF) held an event at Retzlaff Vineyards in Livermore to raise awareness and funding for its projects in Africa. The evening was a success and raised $50,000 thanks to the support of the attendees.

AAF was founded in 2007 by Livermore resident Erna Grasz and two African women she met while on a trip to Mount Kilimanjaro. It has impacted over 600,000 lives through its educational, life skills, entrepreneurial, and leadership programs in the region. Retzlaff Vineyards has been an ardent supporter of AAF. Manager Salome Taylor curates custom trips to the region supporting one of the few African-owned and operated safari tour companies.  Her goal is to expose more people to the natural beauty of the greater Serengeti and to see the works of Asante Africa first-hand.
