A Busy Harvest with Nice Suprises!

While picking the white grapes, we were delighted to discover several cozy Mourning Dove nests tucked safely among the vines. None were disturbed thanks to our tradition of hand-harvesting! We eagerly await the new arrivals to our organic ecosystem.

Speaking of our ecosystem, we’ve also encountered an incredible number of praying mantises this year! By allowing the weeds to grow taller, we’ve reduced mono-culture in the vineyard, creating healthier, more diverse plant and insect life.

The unusually cool summer slowed things down, so the harvest has been a little later than usual. We’ve now brought in all of our white grapes, especially a generous amount of Sémillon. The grapes developed beautifully with balanced sugars and bright acidity, which means we’re expecting some excellent wines from 2025!

The Merlot harvest is also complete. The Rosé looks gorgeous, and we’ll likely press the remaining Merlot soon.

We are incredibly grateful to our hard-working harvest team!
